Thursday, September 16, 2010 - Day 18

They warned me that week 2 would be rough, but they didn’t say anything about week 3. I should have known that it would be worse than week 2. This week I have been mostly skipping “getting up.” I have barely moved from bed, cycling through fevers, chills, and sweats. I’m exhausted, and all I do is sleep and lie here. So forgive me if I’ve said I’d give you a call when I felt like talking. . . I haven’t felt like talking.

  1. We think of you daily, Susie. We are sending good vibes and prayers your way. Can you feel them? Do you need Billy to come over and read you Russian fairy tales? Boris and the Blue Ox put me right to sleep!

  2. I can feel them; спасибо! I can't imagine what this would be like without the prayers and good wishes of so many. What I want to read is Billy's dissertation (ha ha!!).

  3. Hey sis. Feel better soon. Maybe I'll bring you some Singaporean chicken rice (not a bad substitute for chicken soup!) for some of its healing powers. Thanks for writing this blog, helps me to know even on the bad days you don't feel like getting up! I have many friends here asking about you and giving you their blessings from this other side of the world. I was thinking you should be feeling something from us on the bottom of your feet!

  4. Don't we all, Susie...don't we all! Billy says that the dissertation would really put you to sleep.
